Children’s Ringette is a program that provides age and stage appropriate physical activity experiences for young ringette players under the age of 10.

The Children’s Ringette program is focused on creating opportunities that focus on:

• age & stage appropriate activities
• focus on fun and play
• grouping children based on skill & readiness
• maximum participation & engagement
• opportunities to practice learned skills
• adapted game play (small area games & small nets)

The Children’s Ringette Divisions

There are three divisions in Children’s Ringette, FUNdamentals 1, FUNdamentals 2, and FUNdamentals 3

With these adaptations in the FUNdamentals divisions, children are able to experience maximum participation, practice learned skills and move through divisions based on skill and readiness.

B and C Level Ringette Programs are provided for players that are looking for a more competitive game of Ringette and have previous ice skating experience. The goals and focus of these programs is on fun, development, and ensuring every player that wishes to participate in the program has a place to play. Some local travel is required for away games taking place throughout the region (e.g. Ottawa area), and teams usually participate in 3 or 4 weekend tournaments throughout the year (usually take place out of town i.e. overnight stay)

This option is designed around busy schedules and allows members to participate at their convenience.  It allows access to tournament registration with the team.  We ask that members who choose this option only participate in practices up to 2 times per month.  If you wish to participate in more than 2 practices per month, please register under the full 18+ program.
